A Little Background

South Branch is a small lake in central Maine nestled between Howland and Lincoln that has been my fortune to call my summer home since the mid-seventies.

Sparsely populated and relatively untouched by the rampant development that has sadly afflicted many lakes in Maine; it is a wonder unto itself.

Coupled with my life-long passion for photography,  I have amassed a sizable body-of-work of the lake.

Sunrises, sunsets, storms, eclipses, wildlife and the night skies are regular subjects. My photography has become a singular obsession.

Years of dedicated work have resulted in a series of solo exhibitions at the Cianchette Building in Brewer and one at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

In 2015, I was invited to open a solo exhibition in the Robert E. White Art Gallery at Husson University.

In 2019, my work was showcased at Boyd Place at the Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor as part of a Fall show with two other Maine artists.

I was first published in “Echoes Magazine” starting in 2007 and most recently the July 2016 issue cover and back page.

The Bangor Metro published some of my industrial work from my time at the Cianbro Yard working on the Motiva refinery expansion project.

For many years, I volunteered my photographic skills to the annual "Komen Race for the Cure" in Bangor and Portland documenting the race day activities for the local affiliate.

My images were used on their website, in promotional literature and made available to race participants when requested.

With this website,  I hope to broaden the audience for my work.  To this end, they are illustrated as fine-art photographs for any space you desire.
